VanSports Amps Up The V300d Diesel And All-Electric e-Vito Mercedes-Benz Vito

German tuning company VanSports has just unveiled a pair of modified Mercedes-Benz Vito vans.

Kicking off the duo is the V300d that is painted in a shade of dark green that sparkles under direct sunlight. VanSports has lowered the ride height of the van by 30 mm while also fitting a new front lip spoiler, side skirts, and a rear lip. Making it stand out even further are dual black tailpipes.

Hartmann has also tuned the V300d’s 2.0-liter turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine, although it does not disclose horsepower and torque figures. The van is also equipped with a unique set of Aerorad VAED wheels measuring 20×9 at all four corners that are wrapped in 245/40 front and 275/35 rear tires.

The second model tweaked by the tuner is the all-electric e-Vito. It benefits from the same VP Spirit Aerodynamic Kit as the V300d and also sports a striking roof spoiler. It is also fitted with the same Aerorad VAED wheels and has also had its ride height dropped by 30 mm.

As if that wasn’t enough to make the e-Vito stand out, it also features bright blue accents across its front and rear lips, as well as the side skirts.

Pricing details for the upgrades haven’t been announced.

Wheelsandmore Releases 805 HP Upgrade For The Ferrari F8 Tributo

Wheelsandmore has added the Ferrari F8 Tributo to its list of tuned vehicles, with their proposal counting a power upgrade, suspension revisions, new exhaust system and, of course, aftermarket wheels.

In return for €4,999 ($6,072) in Germany, the firm will give you a plug-and-play control unit that lifts the 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8’s output and torque from 710 HP (720 PS / 530 kW) and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm), to 805 HP (816 PS / 600 kW) and 656 lb-ft (890 Nm).

The extra oomph has made the Italian supercar quicker, yet the tuner did not reveal any performance numbers. Still, Novitec’s 791 HP (802 PS / 590 kW) and 662 lb-ft (898 Nm) F8 Tributo can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.6 seconds, 0.3 seconds faster than the stock model, so it’s reasonable to expect similar performance from Wheelandmore’s tune.

A lowering kit with shorter springs bringing the car 1.4 in (35 mm) closer to the ground is priced at €1,170 ($1,421), while speed bumps and curbs will no longer be an issue with the height adjustment kit that raises the car’s nose by 1.6 in (40 mm) and costs €5,940 ($7,214). The aftermarket stainless steel exhaust, said to enhance the sound produced by the V8, is the final technical upgrade for the F8 Tributo from Wheelsandmore.

As for the ‘wheels’ part, this is covered by the F.I.W.E., FORK and 6Sporz series, measuring 9.5×21 and 12.5×22 inches on the front and rear axle respectively and wrapped in 255/30 and 335/25 tires. The tuner offers complete wheel sets from €10,990 ($13,348).

This Ford Focus Owner Has Found An Unusual Way To Turn Heads

What do you do if you own a standard Ford Focus but want to make it look like something that’s performance oriented? An owner thinks they have found a solution.

The first thing that makes this orange Focus stand out are the wild exhausts. The owner was clearly looking to improve the soundtrack of the hatchback’s engine and also wanted to make a visual statement so has fitted a pair of custom tailpipes that reach out from under the bumper and stretch up by about 1.5 feet, pointing towards the sky. The tailpipes are bizarre, to say the least.

Some other modifications have also been made. For example, there is a large rear spoiler stretching up from the roof and finished in black. Interestingly, this spoiler looks similar to the one offered on the Focus RS but features a large gurney flap that has been bolted on to make it even larger.

The owner of the Ford has also fitted a set of bolt-on fender flares and aftermarket wheels. You may also notice that there is a Decepticon badge on the tailgate, as well as tinting over the rear license plate and the Ford emblem.

While we’re not fans of the modifications made, this is far from the most distastefully modified car we’ve found while browsing Reddit. In fact, if not for the rather awkward tailpipes, we think it wouldn’t have raised too many eyebrows.

At $30,000, Would You Pick Up This E39 BMW 530d Ute From Russia?

Despite some isolated attempts that failed to reach dealerships, the idea of a BMW pickup has never been taken seriously in Munich.

Sure, the Bavarians built the X7 Pickup last year, but that was just a one-off show vehicle created for the company’s Motorrad Days. The 1986 E30 M3 Pickup is arguably more famous, but that car was nothing more than a skunkworks project created by BMW M to transport various equipment and parts.

We could not open the subject of BMW pickups without mentioning the E92 M3 Pickup Truck Concept the automaker built in 2011 as an April Fool’s joke. But while BMW never took pickups seriously, other people did.

People like the owner of this 2000 5-Series E39 that has been converted into a two-door pickup, for example. If you’re a CarScoops regular, you probably remember we featured this unusual build earlier this year, when it was on sale in Russia for approximately $32,000.

Apparently, the car failed to sell. We say that because we found an ad for it on eBay, with a buy-it-now price of $30,000. If you’re interested, you should know that the buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping, and that’s a very important detail because the car is located in Kursk, Russian Federation.

The listing does not offer too many details, though it says the E39 5 Series pickup is in “excellent condition” with 5,000 km (3,100 miles) on the clock, although we assume that’s the mileage covered after the conversion and not from new. The build is said to have taken four years to complete and appears to be based on the Touring (aka estate) model. Modifications also include a new suspension, new exhaust, as well as better noise insulation.

The engine is a 2.9-liter turbodiesel straight-six hooked to a five-speed automatic transmission. It makes 184 PS (181 HP) at 4,000 rpm and 390 Nm (287 lb-ft) of torque from a low 1,750 rpm, which is more than enough muscle for a ute. Could anyone ever get over that $30,000 price tag, though?

Watch This 1200 HP Zyrus Lamborghini Huracan Lap The ‘Ring In 6:48

A Lamborghini Huracan modified to 1,200 hp and outfitted with a selection of dramatic aerodynamic components has lapped the Nurburgring in just 6 minutes and 48 seconds, almost matching the 6:47.2 of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

This Huracan has been built by Norwegian company Zyrus and will be capped at just 24 units worldwide, 12 of which will be road-legal while the others will be restricted to track use.

The Norwegian racing outfit has fitted the Huracan’s 5.2-liter V10 with a pair of turbochargers so it now pumps out 1,200 hp. The car also sports a Motec ECU, an Inconel manifold, and a titanium exhaust. It also has an Xtrac racing transmission.

Aerodynamics played a key role in the car’s creation. Consequently, it has an all-new front fascia, new side skirts, flared wheel arches, and a new rear end with a fixed rear wing and a diffuser. These bespoke parts are said to create 1,200 kg (2,645 lbs) of downforce.

While testing out the car at the Nurburgring, the Huracan was fitted with slick Pirelli P Zero tires and was phenomenally quick. Sure, it couldn’t quite match the time of a road-legal Porsche 911 GT2 RS on street tires but the driver did have to deal with some traffic during the lap. In addition, Zyrus says the car was running 900 hp on the day due to the very high track temperatures.

Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Rocks Gloss Black Vossen Alloys, Novitec Suspension

The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is a striking machine straight out of the factory, but a vibrant shade of green and a set of gloss black Vossen alloys help make it even more impressive.

The company’s new wheel set that’s been fitted to this Aventador SVJ is dubbed the S21-01 and measures 9×20 inches at the front and 13×20 inches at the rear.

Taking a closer look on the wheelmaker’s website reveals that the rims start at $2,200 and are available in 48 different shades. As for the sizes, you’re also looking at 19 to 24 inches in diameter, and the set can also be ordered as a 3-piece from $2,600.

To put the spotlight on their latest creation, Vossen has released a short video that shows the Aventador SVJ out in the open. Moreover, this range-topping Aventador also rocks a Novitec suspension, which has been adapted to work with the new rims.

Everything else remains stock, including the 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12, which puts out 759 HP (770 PS / 566 kW) at 8,500 rpm and 531 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque at 6,750 rpm. According to Lamborghini, the Aventador SVJ does the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in just 2.8 seconds and tops out at over 217 mph (350 km/h).

You Don’t Know What Brutal Is Until You’ve Driven A 1,239 HP Toyota Supra Mk4

The previous-gen Toyota Supra is an icon with immense tuning potential. Some examples have been modified to the point that they rock more power than the mighty Bugatti Veyron, and it so just happens that this is one of them.

The legendary 2JZ engine, which barely scratched the 320+ surface when the car first came out, has been drastically upgraded. The video uploader claims that it is capable of laying down some jaw-dropping numbers: 1,239 HP and 826 lb-ft (1,120 Nm) of torque – and we do believe it, after seeing what the ride is capable of.

A true symphony on wheels, the car hit the 60 mph (96 km/h) mark in a blink of an eye from a standstill, rendering the rev counter useless. After shifting into a higher gear, the vehicle was already traveling at almost 135+ mph (220 km/h). Mind you, all of this happened quicker than you can say ‘the new Supra is nowhere near as cool as the A80’, and before you know it, the speedometer was reading well over 186 mph (300 km/h).

The ease with which the rev counter hits the redline and the speedometer displays those amazing numbers is something that you absolutely have to see to believe. Oh, and the sound is not that bad either…
